By

Thank you for your interest in TOAH Boarding and Doggie Day-Play!

Care You Can Count On—for Our TOAH Family
Our boarding and day-play services are available to established TOAH patients. This helps us make sure your pet is in the best hands, with a team who already knows them and their healthcare needs.

New around here?
If you’re interested in joining the TOAH family, we’d love to meet you! Reach out to learn more about becoming a client.

Our Facility: We have a large, indoor, climate-controlled facility. We also have a spacious, fully fenced outdoor play area for walks, exercise, and day-play fun!

Walks and Outside Time: All boarders are walked outside up to four times daily in a fenced area, weather permitting.

Group Day-Play: All participants of Group Day-Play will enjoy interactive group playtime in either our indoor or outdoor play area multiple times daily.

Private Day Play: Arrangements may be made in special circumstances. Please contact to speak with one of Pack Leaders for more information.

Veterinary Supervision: All pets are under the supervision of our Veterinarians and Technicians.  Our Pack Leaders monitor all boarders and day-play participants’ appetites, urinary habits, bowel movements, etc., very carefully.  If there are any issues or concerns, our Pack Leaders will bring this to the attention of the veterinary staff.  You will be apprised of any concerns that arise during your pet’s stay with us. Keep in mind your pet’s health and comfort are our first priority, and if an issue arises, it will be addressed.

Food and Treats: We offer the option for you to bring your pet’s food and treats from home, or you may choose our house food. We feed Purina Pro Plan. Feeding times are according to your instructions. Food is included with boarding rates.

Personal Belongings: We do not permit any personal belongings other than food, treats, and/or medication from your home. Please don’t forget to bring leashes and collars with you when you are dropping off your pets.

  • We provide bedding, which is changed daily.
  • We provide bowls for food and water.
  • We have plenty of clean pet cots and comfy blankets which are included in the cost of boarding.
    • There are three main reasons we do not allow belongings from home:
      1. We will not risk any of your pet’s personal belongings being destroyed or lost.
      2. Our facility is flea and tick free and we cannot risk any of those little pests coming in.
      3. Sometimes a boarding/group day-play situation can be stressful for your pet. There are times that they may try to chew or eat their bedding or toys from home. We monitor this closely, but again, we do not want any of your pet’s belongings to be destroyed or put your pet’s health at risk.

Medications: If any medications are needed, they will be administered exactly per the written instructions. No medications will be given without actual prescription label instructions on the original bottle. Keep in mind that there is a medication administration fee that is applied daily for any medications, supplements, or vitamins.

Meet & Greet Protocol: New to TOAH boarding or day-play? No problem! We want to get to know you and your pet before any stay with us. So, let’s set up an appointment for a Meet and Greet! This is a time to meet each other and address any of your questions or concerns. We will also administer a temperament assessment for all group play participants to ensure your pet will be a good candidate. Safety is always our priority!

The Pack Leader will then reunite your pet with you!. You will also receive a little “report card” from their stay via the TOAH APP!  If your pet was examined by a veterinarian or technician or had any medical issue during their stay, you will need to meet with the technician at pick-up. We offer different shampoos to choose from:  Aloe & Oatmeal, Flea & Tick, Medicated, or you may bring your own pet shampoo for us to use. If you pay for seven nights of boarding, the bath will be included in the boarding costs. This service is available to dogs only.

Veterinary Specialist Referrals

By

Our experienced team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians provide many services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures. Although we handle the majority of your pet’s medical and surgical needs in-house, we occasionally refer patients to veterinary specialists or specialty clinics when advanced training or equipment will be beneficial.

Board-certified specialists, such as oncologists, ophthalmologists, and neurologists, have extensive experience and training in a particular area of veterinary medicine or surgery. Specialty clinics and university-affiliated referral centers have specialized equipment to perform procedures that are not routinely performed by general veterinary practitioners.

We make referral decisions because we want to ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of care and best possible outcome. Be assured that when we refer a patient to another hospital, we continue to stay involved with his or her care, consulting with the treating specialist and often providing any needed follow-up care and rehabilitation.

Microchip Pet Identification

By

Imagine if your dog or cat got lost. You’d want to give him or her the best chance of getting home. With microchipping, you can.

Microchipping is a safe, permanent way to identify your pet in case he or she becomes lost. A microchip, which is a tiny device about the size and shape of a grain of rice, is placed just under the loose skin at the back of the neck. When a lost dog or cat without an ID tag is found, a veterinarian or veterinary technician will use a handheld microchip scanner to check for a chip. If the pet has one, it will transmit its ID number to the scanner via a low-frequency radio wave. The veterinary hospital or shelter then calls the chip manufacturer, retrieves the pet owner’s contact information, and calls the owner.

Even the most responsible pet owners can’t always guarantee their pet won’t get lost. A leash could break or slip out of your hand, a pet could push through a screen door or window, or a contractor or friend might accidentally leave a door or gate open.

We recommend that you use a microchip, along with a collar and ID tag, to identify your pet. An ID tag is still a reliable identification method. Pets that have tags with current contact information are more likely to not end up in shelters and tend to get home faster than those without tags. However, collars and ID tags aren’t permanent and can be removed (overnight or for grooming); pets can also lose them. With a microchip, your pet will have a much better chance of being identified and returned to you. Pets without microchips that end up in shelters may be adopted out to another family or even euthanized.

Please contact us to schedule an appointment to microchip your pet. Although we hope your pet never becomes lost, we want you to be prepared. We can also suggest a plan to have in place so if your pet does go missing, you’ll be able to act quickly.

We can microchip ferrets, rabbits, birds, and other companion animals, too!
