Congratulation to our September 2024 Pet of the month, Heidi, Thompson!
Heidi, our 11 year old Puggle, and her sister, Maggie, came to us from a family member who could no longer take care of them. Someone wanted to split them up but they are such a pair that we couldn’t stand to see it so they both came to live with us instead! Heidi loves to lounge on pillows and on the backs of couches, especially if she can be in the sun. She loves carrots and will show you her “Jaws” impression if you try to give her one. Heidi loves to wake our two year old son up in the morning by claiming his bed as her own. Her nickname is Principessa because she totally believes she should be treated like a Renaissance princess. We agree and are so lucky to have this snuggly, silly, and sweet little girl in our lives!
Heidi recently had urinary issues and Dr.Keisha suggested we check her for bladder stones. She ended up having an enormous amount which she had surgery to remove. Heidi had a very hard and scary time with recovery, having to come back in multiple times but her friends at TOAH went above and beyond for her! She is now back to lounging on her pillows and running around like she is a puppy again. We are forever grateful to the staff at TOAH especially Dr. Keisha, Dr. McPherson, and her bestie Vet Tech, Dominque!
