Here are a selection of alternative treatments and supplements. We are always available for these treatments and are open to talk about them. Have a question or want to schedule a consult? Give us a call or request an appointment here!

VOM (Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation): This procedure is a healing technology that locates areas of an animals' nervous system that has fallen out of communication, and reestablishes neuronal communications which induce healing. VOM is singularly the most simple, effective, and safe healing practice in veterinary care to date.

The goal of VOM is to treat Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC). VSC is a functional defect of a joint (which may not display on an X-ray) that causes neurological signs or pain. The effects of VSC can include mobility problems, muscle spasms, neruological defects, and/or inflammation. VOM is similar to some chiropractic practices. Both use techniques to restore function by reducing subluxations.

Some diseases that are responsive to VOM therapy include:

  • Kidney diseases
  • Liver disease
  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
  • Fecal and urinary incontinence
  • Arthritis
  • Feline Urinary Disease (FLUTD)
  • Feline Hyperthyroidism
  • Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
  • Hip Dysplasia
  • Canine Wobblers (Cervical Instability)
  • Disk Disease
  • Brachial Plexus Avulsion
  • Degenerative Myelopathy
  • Mega-esophagus
  • Lick Granulomas
  • Feline Hyperesthesia Syndrome (skin-spinal reflex phenomenon)
  • Lumbro-sacral subluxation complex
  • The Caudal Cervical Syndrome
  • Many more...
